The Barber Edit Competition Terms & Conditions
SALON INTERNATIONAL: BARBER EDIT
COMPETITION
1. Competition Overview
Andis, in collaboration with Crate Collective, are excited to feature the Barber Edit Competition at Salon International. The competition brings together the most talented barbers from around the United Kingdom to demonstrate their passion, skills and creativity. The competitions are:
· The Barber Edit
· The Future Edit
The competition is free to enter. There will be two finalists selected for each competition.
Andis-UK will host the competitions, and an independent judging panel will assess entries based on overall look, precision of lining, technical execution, styling/finishing techniques and overall presentation.
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
The Barber Edit is for established barbers.
The Future Edit is open to current barbering students and barbers who have completed their qualification within the six months preceding the competition closing date.
Employees of Andis-UK, Salon International, The Crate Collective, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
Submit 3 high-resolution images of your most creative haircut along with a summary of no more than 25 words.
The images:
· Must be of the same haircut
· Must be the entrant’s own creation
· Rights must be owned by the entrant
· AI-generated/edited images are prohibited
· Must be in one of the following formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF
Entries must be submitted via the official entry form (link) by 23:50 on Wednesday 16th September 2026.
Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted.
4. Competition Dates & Times
Sunday 4th October – The Barber Edit
Times to be confirmed: Finalists will have 30-minutes cutting time.
Finalists will need to bring their own models.
Final cuts judged.
Time to be confirmed: Winner announced on main stage by the Andis Team.
Monday 5th October – The Future Edit
Times to be confirmed: Finalists will have 30 minutes cutting time.
Finalists will need to bring their own models.
Final cuts judged.
Time to be confirmed: Winner announced on main stage by Andis Team.
5. Finalist Requirements
Applications will be judged and finalists will be contacted w/c Monday 21st September to confirm entry criteria has been met and availability.
It is the entrant’s responsibility to source and bring a model. Models must be aged 18 or over and have at least two weeks of hair growth.
Andis tools must be used during the finalist competition. Third-party styling products, hair colours, fibres or other finishing products may be used, provided their labels are removed or covered with white paper.
Finalists must be able to attend and compete live on the Andis stand at Salon International on their allocated day (4th October for Barber Edit, 5th October for Future Edit).
Both competitions will have one round at Salon International. In this round, contestants will have 30 minutes of cutting time; it will also require finalists to give a five-minute talk whilst cutting.
Winners will be responsible for covering their travel costs/expenditure.
Show entry will be provided free of charge for finalists and their models.
6. Competition Kit

7. Competition Judges
An independent judging panel will judge the contestants based on the following criteria:
· Overall look
· The precision of lining
· Technical execution
· The quality of styling/finishing techniques
· Overall presentation
The judges' decision is final.
8. Winners' Prizes
The winner of each competition will receive:
· Winner's Certificate
· Competition Kit bag
· £250 Andis Voucher
· A Day with Crate Collective
· Feature on Andis-UK website & social media channels
The runner-up of the Barber Edit competition will receive:
· Runner-up Certificate
· Competition Kit bag
· £100 Andis Voucher
· Feature on Andis-UK website & social media channels
The runner-up of the Future Edit competition will receive:
· Runner-up Certificate
· Competition Kit bag
· £50 Andis Voucher
· Feature on Andis-UK website & social media channels
9. Publicity
By entering, you and your model agree that Andis-UK and The Crate Collective may use your name, images and entry for promotional purposes across social media, website and marketing materials.
10. General Terms
All prizes must be collected on the day of the competition by the prize winners only.
No cash alternative will be offered.
Day with Crate Collective: Prize date to be agreed between Crate and winners.
Andis-UK reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time.
The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging outcome.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
